The Wentworth Angling Club hosts its popular monthly fishing competition on the second Saturday of every month along the scenic Murray River. Anglers of all ages can join the fun, though participants must note that the Murray Cod season is strictly closed from 1 September to 30 November 2026 to protect the species during breeding.The event is hosted at the Fort Courage Caravan Park, where the weekend features fantastic social activities alongside the competition:Friday & Saturday Nights: Exciting meat raffles and prizes are drawn at the park. Saturday Night: A delicious, low-cost evening meal is served right after the competition presentations.It is a great community night out for family and friends, but make sure to RSVP by the Wednesday before the event for catering purposes.
